A home in Picket Post Close, Martins Heron – better known as the fictional 4 Privet Drive in Harry Potter – is up for sale in Bracknell, near Reading.
Harry Potter fans can literally become part of Harry Potter history as the home of Harry’s Uncle Vernon, Aunt Petunia and cousin Dudley Dursley in the famous films has been put on the market, complete with Harry Potter’s cupboard. *Dobby not included.
The property is being advertised by Chancellors estate agents and is up for sale for nearly half a million pounds – £475,000 to be exact. Not bad little earner from a three bed, eh?
The three-bedroom detached home is advertised as “Situated in a quiet cul-de-sac location, this detached property has recently undergone complete renovation to an extremely high standard.” Wonder if this renovation includes toilet network, Floo network or a vanishing cupboard?
Back in 2001, the house was picked out of hundreds around the UK to be the Dursleys’ home in the very first film, Harry Potter And The Philosopher’s Stone. Harry was forced to live in the cupboard under the stairs by his aunt and uncle since he was 15 months old before BFG Hagrid saved him and took him off to Hogwarts.
So, fancy it?
